Weaver Elementary Teachers' Association (WETA)

Each school site must maintain a School Site Council (SSC) which is composed of parents and school personnel. Half of the membership must be reserved for parents while site administrators, teachers and classified personnel make up the other half of the membership.
The SSC's primary responsibility is to help develop and annually review the school site's Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). This document prioritizes the school's goals and allocates primarily Title I money to address those goals. The SPSA once reviewed by the SSC is then submitted to the District's school board for final review and approval. The SSC then follows up by monitoring the implementation of the SPSA and evaluating the results.
Members of the SSC are elected by their peers every one or two years.
